Altair's Mobile Payment Solution
A unique and revolutionary addition to Altair's Prepaid Card services. The
AMPS is positioned to provide cardholders with
maximum flexibility and accessibility to manage their funds. Consumers are accustomed
to the convenience of sending SMS text messages, which greatly influences the uptake
and use of AMPS.
The system provides cardholders with easy access to several self-service account
management functions. This is done by simply sending a SMS/text message to a dedicated
number along with the appropriate function request.
AMPS not only offers cardholders 24-hour access to a suite of Prepaid Card management
utilities, but moreover an instant and safe method of transmitting funds globally
to a secondary registered Prepaid Card.
An Altair product that significantly benefits from this new technology is the Prepaid
MoneyShare® Card, a MasterCard®
branded two-card product that allows instant secure transmission of funds from a
primary card to a secondary card.
AMPS enables Prepaid Card cardholders to:
- Initially load the card from a pre-registered card
- Top-up their account
- Obtain a balance
- Transmit funds to secondary cardholder (MoneyShare Card)
- Pay for goods and services at a merchants location (in development)
- Lock and Unlock a card
